Lynn
Hi, I'm Lynn. I live in Shenzhen, right across from Hong Kong — where most first-time visitors to China actually land. I've traveled the country from Harbin's ice festival to Yunnan's rice terraces, and along the way became the person friends ask before their first trip: train tickets with a passport, paying when every app is in Chinese, checking in when the hotel system can't find your reservation. This site is my answers to those questions, tried and tested. Planning a trip? I'm here to help.
China Starter Hub is an independent resource that helps international visitors prepare for and navigate travel in China.
Whether you're visiting for tourism, business, study, or a short stay, finding reliable information about China can be difficult. Rules, apps, payments, transportation, and everyday services often work differently from what many travelers expect.
Our goal is simple: make China easier to understand and easier to navigate.
We create practical guides and useful tools based on real questions from travelers and first-time visitors. Every resource is designed to save time, reduce confusion, and help people travel with confidence.
